Nantucket - in the off season / by Sarah

Nantucket is such a special little corner of the world.  Just an hour ferry off of Cape Cod, but it feels a world away.  I have only been a handful of times and mostly off season, but I feel like I have known it my whole life.   When I got the opportunity to do a two day shoot in Nantucket I nearly fell off my chair, anxiously emailing back the perspective client, not trying to look too excited or desperate.  A photo shoot on Nantucket...definitely on the professional bucket list.  Oh and not to mention 3 nights, by myself, in a gorgeous hotel room.  Pinch me now.

Not much was open on the island and the chilly spring winds were still whipping about, but it was absolutely perfect.  Long days working, ended with some delicious dinners and fabulous nights sleep.  I still can hardly believe it was a business trip.  I just sent the photos off to the client and will share those when I can, but here are some other snaps from my trip.

Grey shingles and vintage Jeep Wagoneer.  Nantucket classics.  P.S. This is not the hotel group I photographed, but also another lovely inn, The Chestnut House.

Sneak peek of the newly renovated Manor House, by the talented Annsley McAleer of Annsley Interiors.  Modern Coastal perfection.

Foggy evening leaving Hyannis.  Crazy how different the light can be.

Can't wait to show you the interior shots, and I am already plotting another way to get back on island soon.
