I can't believe I have not shared this on the blog yet, but a photograph of mine was recently installed at a restaurant, down in Saint Simons Island, GA. One of my all time favorite photographs, Tidal Pools, now hangs in the newly redesigned Halyards! Designer Mary-Bryan Peyer, gave the space a lovely modern costal update and incorporated my piece. It is always a thrill to see a photograph of mine framed and hung, but it is particularly exciting to have it in a public space for all to enjoy.
Tidal Pools, is such special photograph to me personally as well. I was out on the beach one (very) early August morning with my daughter (trying to let daddy sleep in) and the sky, ocean, clouds and rising sun just all seemed to talk to each other in one of those rare perfect moments. Knowing that my daughter was splashing in the tidal pools just out of frame makes it all the more special to me. In fact I took another photograph that same morning with her included. I have that blown up and framed at my home.
So, if any of y'all are down in St. Simons Island this summer and happen to be at Halyards make sure to take a look. And let me know! :)
