Gramercy Home, I cannot describe how much I adore this shop: amazing linens and bedding, gorgeous table settings and glassware, inspiring bedroom and living room vignettes, and the most beautiful hostess gifts that will make you the hit of any party. The shop truly lives up its namesake and iconic Manhattan neighborhood, Gramercy Park, while infusing elegant southern charm and spirit. Every time I am back in Atlanta I make a point to pop in and see what goodies they have in store, and a few weeks ago I was in for a little photo shoot. Here is a little blog window-shopping.
The Perfect Robe
My obsessions with Gramercy Home all started with a robe. Not just any robe, the perfect white, waffle robe with my initials monogrammed in white. Now robes are not necessarily the most glamorous of garments, but the perfect white robe, well, that is a rare treasure. This one met all the criteria: crisp, clean, soft and comfortable.
The infamous robe
All the goodies that lie within the shop seem to further emulate that perfect white robe feel.
They change their bed linen designs every six weeks and are always plush and cool. I just love this Liberty of London peacock print.
And this nautical bedroom mixed with an eclectic Indian print and pops of orange is it to die.
Great table setting designs and ideas.
Lamps and Lighting
They even carry lamps by Jill Rosenwald which can be ordered in custom colors and designs. Jill's studio is in that same Boston studio space as Elements of Style, Jessica Sutton Graphic Design and New Brahmin and is a ceramic wonderland. (All these amazingly creative entrepreneurial woman in one place...there must be something in the water.)
My mother always taught me to have a ready supply of hostess gifts and goodies in the house. You never know when you may get invited somewhere and a good southern girl never shows up empty handed. I stock up at Gramercy regularly. Here are some of my favorites.
Bud vases, frames and little ceramic jars
Monogrammed tea towels and french soaps
Don't forget the baby. Gramercy has a full baby and nursery section. The knitted animals are just too cute.
Definitely make a point to stop by if you are in the Atlanta area and tell them I said hi. Even the map how to get there is adorable.
I hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
